Tomato Chicken Curry

A quick and simple chicken curry recipe with tomatoes contributing to the main flavour of the dish.

Tomato Chicken Curry

Ingredients

  • 1lb chicken
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1tbsp ginger paste
  • 1tbsp garlic paste
  • salt
  • red chilli powder

Preparation

  1. Grate or puree the tomatoes.
  2. Fry the ginger and garlic paste in oil till brown.
  3. Add the tomatoes and chicken, along with some salt and red chilli powder for seasoning.
  4. Cover and cook on medium heat until the chicken is tender (about 20 mins).
  5. Add some water, more seasoning and cook another 5 mins to make it a curry.
