Grind it without adding water
After grinding, add green chillies, dhania leaves, red chilly powded and biryani masala.. mix it and dip it in egg batter and coat it with bread crumbs
If too soggy, coat with bread crumbs and keep in fridge for two hrs
Then add the egg batter , bread crumbs and fry..
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground mutton
- 1 medium onion (diced)
- 1 inch ginger
- 8-10 garlic pods
- 1 cup chana dal (yellow lentils)
- 1/2 tsp soy sauce
- 1-2 green chillies
- few coriander leaves
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp biryani masala
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- salt
Preparation
- Add the mutton, onion, ginger, garlic, chana dal and some salt into a pressure cooker. Add some water and pressure cook for about 30 mins until the mutton is tender.
- Drain out the excess water, but don't make it too dry.
- Grind the mixture into a paste.
- After grinding, add green chillies, coriander leaves, red chilly powder and biryani masala and mix.
- Take a handful of the mutton mixture, dip it in egg batter and coat it with bread crumbs. Repeat to make mutton patty pieces out of the entire mixture.
- Heat some oil in a pan over medium heat. Dip the mutton patties in egg mixture and breadcrumbs and add to the pan. Turn over midway. Cook until both sides are brown and crunchy.
- Serve with chilly tomato sauce.
