Ingredients
- 1 cup moong dal
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 inch ginger
- 2 green chillies
- some coriander leaves
- oil for deep frying
Preparation
- Soak the moong dal in water overnight.
- Wash it well the next morning and drain out the water completely.
- Grind it by adding the garlic, ginger, and slowly add water till the batter is absolutely smooth.
- Just before frying, add salt, pepper, green chillies and dhania and mix the batter.
- Add oil to a pot and set it on a medium-high flame.
- Take spoonfuls of the batter and drop it into the oil. Be careful not to let the oil splash. Fry until it browns into a round pakoda.
- Drain the oil and serve with tomato sauce.
